AUTHOR GUIDELINES

Articles submitted to Ruang Sosialia: Ruang Ilmu Sosial dan Agama must be academic works in the form of conceptual papers or research articles written by researchers, lecturers, or students from various regions in Indonesia. The journal focuses on research in the fields of social sciences, religion, culture, communication, socio-politics, and other community-based studies.

Manuscripts must be written in standard Indonesian and english, using Book Antiqua font, size 12, with a length of 3500–4000 words. Submissions must be uploaded through the Open Journal System (OJS) of Ruang Sosialia in Microsoft Word format.

Author names should be written without academic titles, institutional ranks, or professional positions.

The article structure consists of:

  • Title
  • Author’s name, affiliation, and correspondence email
  • Abstract (200–250 words)
  • Keywords (3–5 terms)
  • Introduction
  • Methodology
  • Results and Discussion
  • Conclusion
  • References

Foreign terms must be written in italics, while Arabic terms must follow the transliteration guidelines of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia.

Articles that pass the initial screening will undergo verification and editorial review for format and style consistency, without altering the substance of the content.

The citation system uses body notes, and references must follow the American Psychological Association (APA) style. The use of citation management tools such as Mendeley or Zotero is strongly recommended.

A minimum of 15 references is required, with the following composition:

  • 60% from journal articles

  • 40% from books

  • Other sources (such as websites, reports, or online archives) may be cited without limitation.
