Science-based natural resource management is an important strategy for promoting sustainable economic growth. This approach emphasizes the integration of scientific principles, technology, and community participation in natural resource management, from mapping and monitoring to local resource-based economic development. This study uses a literature review method by analyzing ten relevant scientific articles, both from global and local contexts, to understand the concept, implementation, challenges, and opportunities of science-based natural resource management. The results of the study indicate that the concept of science-based natural resource management emphasizes resource efficiency, ecosystem conservation, and adaptation to environmental change. Modern technologies such as GIS, remote sensing, big data, biotechnology, and renewable energy support evidence-based decision-making and increase the productivity of the agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sectors. This approach also strengthens economic resilience to climate change and ecological risks.
